Overview
The University of Glasgow is seeking a User Experience Designer to help redefine how students engage with the university through user-centred digital experiences. You’ll play a key role in implementing a university-wide CRM system (Salesforce), focusing on marketing, recruitment, and admissions.
As part of the Digital Experience Team, you’ll design meaningful, inclusive, and coherent student-facing services, working closely with developers, researchers, and service designers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design of end-to-end digital experiences based on user needs.
 - Advocate for users throughout all stages of design and development.
 - Collaborate in agile teams with product owners, researchers, and developers.
 - Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals using Figma, Adobe, or similar tools.
 - Conduct user research and usability testing sessions.
 - Coach colleagues on UX best practices and inclusive design principles.
 - Continuously review and enhance digital journeys.
 
Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience in UX design, accessibility standards, and user research.
 - Strong knowledge of UX methodologies, usability testing, and data-led design.
 - Excellent communication and collaboration skills in agile environments.
 - Proven ability to design prototypes and high-fidelity interfaces.
 
Desirable:
- Experience with web CMS or CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
 - Experience in higher education or multi-stakeholder organisations.
