Are you a proactive and experienced network professional ready to make an impact during a time of exciting change? We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. The role will provide essential cover while our core team delivers a major network transformation and embeds a Network Operations Centre.
In this key role, you’ll bring your technical expertise, analytical mindset, and collaborative spirit to support and maintain our campus-wide network. You’ll act as a technical escalation point, provide 2nd and 3rd line support, and contribute to projects involving Azure networking—helping shape the future of digital infrastructure at the University.
Responsibilities
- Support and manage all aspects of core campus network infrastructure
- Provide technical expertise in wired and wireless technologies
- Contribute to the transition towards Azure Cloud Services and Zero Trust networking
- Engage with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure value and quality
- Deliver and support software-defined networking (Campus and Data Centre environments)
- Offer advice and guidance in projects, presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- Extensive experience in supporting and managing large-scale network infrastructures
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking and SDN technologies
- Proven ability to deliver 2nd/3rd line network support and act as an escalation point
