Overview

Are you passionate about providing compassionate, inclusive care to patients, families, and staff? Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dedicated Chaplain to join its Department of Spiritual and Pastoral Care.

As a Chaplain, you will play a key role in ensuring spiritual and emotional support for patients, their loved ones, and staff members throughout the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral, spiritual, and religious support to patients, staff, and families.
  • Respond promptly to referrals and visit wards and departments regularly.
  • Take part in a 24/7 on-call rota for urgent and emergency spiritual care.
  • Contribute to bereavement care, including the Trust’s contract funeral service for families experiencing pregnancy or baby loss, child bereavement, or for adults without next of kin.
  • Serve as a specialist resource on spiritual, pastoral, religious, and ethical matters, collaborating with internal staff and external faith and belief communities.
