You’ll design, build, and support data and analytics infrastructure powering research, trading, and portfolio decision-making.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the core of the Front Office. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the full project lifecycle — from design to production — in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to understand data and research needs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines across internal and external data sources.
  • Manage and optimise AWS-based data workflows, including containerised environments using Docker.
  • Ingest, transform, and serve large-scale financial datasets across multiple asset classes using Python, Snowflake, and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, and availability across the front office stack.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Front Office Engineer (buy-side, sell-side, or trading environment).
  • Deep expertise in Python and strong software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD).
  • Proven experience building robust, cloud-native data pipelines (preferably AWS).
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container-based deployments.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake and NoSQL databases (especially MongoDB).
  • Sound understanding of financial markets and instruments, particularly Fixed Income (credit, rates, equities, or options experience also considered).
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar market data providers.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect is an advantage.
  • Experience creating internal tools or dashboards with Dash, Streamlit, or other data visualisation platforms is desirable.

Locations

  • London (City)
  • Switzerland (for candidates eligible to work there)
