The Ministry of Justice (HM Courts & Tribunals Service) is hiring Administrative Officers to support the delivery of justice across England and Wales. This role is based at Birmingham Civil Justice Centre, B4 6DS.

Our Admin Officers play a key role, providing excellent administrative support and customer service to court users, judiciary, and management.
About the Role
Working as part of a team, you’ll help progress cases through the court and tribunal systems while delivering outstanding public service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare case papers and files for hearings, tribunals, and meetings
- Create and update records in the in-house system
- Process court results accurately
- Verify and check documents, accounts, and returns
- Communicate with the public, judiciary, and other stakeholders
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and use various software systems
- Previous administrative or customer service experience preferred
- Organised and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Working Hours and Flexibility
- Full-time: 37 hours per week
- Part-time, flexible, and job-sharing options available (minimum 30 hours per week over 4 days)
- Office-based, customer-facing role
Visa Information
As of 22 July 2025, the Skilled Worker visa threshold has changed.
This role does not meet new eligibility criteria for first-time visa applicants.
However, if you currently hold a Skilled Worker visa (granted before 22 July 2025) and have maintained it continuously, you may still be eligible under transitional provisions.
Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK.
