About the Role
Join Amazon’s Delivery Experience (DEX) team, the group behind innovations in fast, convenient delivery programs like One-Day and Same-Day Delivery. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to transform data into insights, create dashboards, and shape strategies that enhance customer delivery experiences.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, and dashboards on key business drivers. – Partner with business and operations teams to define KPIs and build automated reporting solutions. – Conduct ad-hoc and strategic analyses to support decision-making. – Translate complex or ambiguous business problems into clear analytical requirements. – Communicate insights effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
– Strong experience with SQL, data analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau). – Advanced Excel skills (VBA, pivot tables, Power Pivot, array functions, etc.). – Experience with Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL databases. – Proven ability to derive business insights from data and influence stakeholders. – Python or scripting experience for data processing.
Preferred Qualifications
– Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift. – Experience with ETL processes and handling large-scale, complex datasets. – Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate data-driven recommendations.
