Salary: £24,465 per annum (Pro rata)

We’re recruiting Facilities Assistants (Domestic) to maintain clean and safe hospital environments for patients, visitors, and staff.

Your role will involve cleaning both clinical and non-clinical areas, ensuring high hygiene standards, and supporting the wider healthcare team.

Available Hours / Rotas

  • 16 hours – Weekends only (7 am – 3:30 pm)
  • 21 hours – Two-week rota:
    • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun (3 pm – 9 pm)
    • Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri (3 pm – 9 pm)

What You’ll Do

  • General and specialist cleaning (floors, wards, restrooms, windows, etc.)
  • Deep cleans and infection control duties
  • Maintain and clean equipment safely
  • Dispose of waste according to policies
  • Follow COSHH and Health & Safety guidelines

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Customer care skills
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Basic COSHH knowledge

Desirable:

  • Previous cleaning experience (ideally within the NHS)
