Join the British Red Cross Health and Care Team as a Service Support Worker — a role where compassion and empathy matter more than formal experience.
You’ll provide vital personal and emotional support to people who may be older, unwell, or vulnerable, helping them live independently and confidently in their homes and communities.
What You’ll Do
- Provide personal, emotional, and practical support in people’s homes or community
- Assist with daily living — bathing, dressing, meals, and medication
- Liaise with healthcare and social professionals
- Promote wellbeing through risk assessments and welfare checks
What You’ll Need
- A kind, respectful, and supportive approach
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends
- Willingness to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months
Experience in care is helpful but not essential — full training provided.
