Overview

Are you passionate about turning data into insights and driving innovation in education systems? Join Imperial College London’s Faculty of Engineering as a Power BI Data Analyst and help transform data into meaningful intelligence that enhances teaching, learning, and decision-making.

You will lead the development of interactive Power BI dashboards and data reporting frameworks, collaborating with teams across the Faculty to ensure data accuracy, quality, and impact. This role is central to advancing evidence-based decision-making and supporting the College’s digital transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage interactive Power BI dashboards and data models.
  • Design and optimise data pipelines, validate data sources, and ensure data integrity.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate across departments to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and information security principles.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification (preferably in a data or technical field).
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, preparation, and management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Experience using SQL, Python, or R for analysis.
  • Knowledge of data preparation, integration, and transformation processes.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork skills.
