Administrative Assistant

 Job Overview

A well-known immigration firm is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised Administrative Assistant to support our immigration and compliance operations. You will play a key role in ensuring immigration tasks are executed efficiently, accurately, and in line with legal and company requirements.

 Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and compiling a variety of visa and immigration application documents.
  • Maintain updated records of all immigration cases (e.g. passports, visas, BRPs, right to work checks, Certificates of Sponsorship).
  • Track visa expiry dates and support timely renewals/extensions.
  • Handle data entry, filing, and document organisation.
  • Liaise with clients, employers, and employees to gather required information.
  • Communicate with UKVI and legal representatives as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with UK immigration laws and internal procedures.
  • Draft and send letters, contracts, and compliance-related documents.
  • Schedule appointments for visa applications, biometrics, ID verifications, etc.
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism.

 Skills and Requirements

  • 4–5 years’ experience in an administrative or HR support role (preferably with exposure to immigration/legal work).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Time management skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with UK immigration processes (e.g. Skilled Worker visas, CoS, sponsorship) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience in a legal firm or international organisation dealing with immigration.
  • Experience working with international/multinational clients.

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum
