Overview

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to important conversations and are making radical social change a reality so nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

Role

This role is split between 80% working on foundational data infrastructure for a front-line service in the early stages of its data maturity and 20% studying for a Level 7 Apprenticeship in Data Analytics with the University of West London. You will support the consolidation of multiple CRM systems into a centralised platform, help develop self-serve analytical dashboards for service insights and evidence-based decision making, create and maintain reproducible analytical pipelines for service needs, work with other datasets to analyse Camden’s overall debt picture, prepare responses to Freedom of Information requests, and explore new technologies to create proof-of-concepts that improve service delivery. Apprenticeship modules may include Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Managing Innovation and Change, and an Apprenticeship Project. A full list of course modules can be found here.

About You

No prior data experience is required — just enthusiasm for learning and developing your skills in SQL, Python/R, and Power BI. You will communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, contribute to building a strong data culture and improving data literacy, solve problems creatively and logically, support service design, policy, and strategic planning, and apply project management skills to reporting and analytical solutions. Requirements include a 2:2 honours degree in a STEM subject or equivalent qualifications/experience. If you meet some but not all of the requirements, you are encouraged to apply.
