About the Role

NHS Borders is hiring two enthusiastic Assistant Information Systems Administrators to support our Health Information Systems team. You’ll contribute to the stability and enhancement of key systems such as TrakCare, EMIS Web, SCI Store/Gateway, and WardView, which are critical to patient care and operational effectiveness.

These roles offer a hybrid working environment and the opportunity to be part of digital improvements that benefit both clinical staff and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Daily support and maintenance of Patient Administration Systems
  • Respond to service incidents and requests via TopDesk
  • Assist in managing user accounts and low-level system updates
  • Help deliver upgrades and improvements to e-health systems
  • Work closely with stakeholders to meet service requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with backend systems like TrakCare or EMIS Web (desirable)
  • Previous experience working with Patient Administration Systems (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to system changes and maintain performance
