Summary
The Assistant Technical Designer will support the creation of detailed technical drawings and specifications for architectural glass systems. You will help bring design concepts to life, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD tools.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
- Create 3D models and visualizations (SketchUp, Revit, NavisWorks).
- Review specifications and ensure compliance with standards.
- Provide technical support during project estimation.
- Improve design processes and documentation.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers for technical clarifications.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Technical Designer or similar role in construction or architectural glass.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of construction and schematic design.
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
