Job Description
We are seeking experienced AWS Engineers to join our growing National Security & Government business at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence. You’ll work on impactful solutions for UK Government clients, within a collaborative and inclusive team.
Role
- Develop and support AWS cloud-based solutions
- Design infrastructure using EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, IAM, and more
- Script and automate with Shell, Bash, Python
- Write code in a Lambda-compatible language
- Use Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
- Implement CI/CD with tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket
- Operate in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)
Requirement
- Significant AWS experience and subject matter expertise
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation, scripting, and source control (Git/Mercurial)
- Experience with microservices and API design is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- AWS Associate-level certification (e.g. Solutions Architect)
- Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS
- Observability, monitoring, FinOps, and Linux/networking knowledge
- Automated testing frameworks
