Bank Housekeeper

Job Summary

Housekeepers are responsible for providing and maintaining cleaning and catering services within the Trust, ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for staff and patients. You will play a key role in the recovery environment by delivering high-quality support services in office, patient, and communal areas.

We’re looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals who place patients at the heart of everything they do. Working in a multi-professional team, you should be empathetic, quick-thinking, and committed to continuous improvement.

Note: You must have the Right to Work in the UK. This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide cleaning and catering services within the Trust’s Hotel Services Team.
  • Work shifts between 7am–6pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Be available at short notice for additional hours.
  • Perform cleaning duties using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
  • Provide high standards of customer service in catering and food service.

Experience required:

  • Cleaning duties in demanding environments.
  • Food service experience preferred.
  • Experience or volunteering in mental health and learning disabilities settings.

Qualifications:

  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 (or willingness to achieve it within a set timeframe).
  • Numeracy, Literacy, and IT Level 2 (GCSE 9–4 / A*–C equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping is desirable.
