Global Fire and Security Systems Ltd is an independent company established in Nottingham since 1999. Over the years, we have developed into market leaders in providing quality product solutions across the fire and security marketplace nationwide.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience from our directors, we have become industry experts in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire safety, fire suppression, and security systems.
Due to continued growth and market development, we are now seeking to appoint a Business Analyst to join our Head Office at the prestigious NG2 Business Park in Nottingham.
Job Purpose
The Business Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and improving service performance (Customer Service and Field Service). Acting as a bridge between operational teams and service leadership, you will ensure services are delivered efficiently, meet agreed service levels, and continuously improve through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and report on service performance against SLAs and KPIs
- Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement using service data
- Produce regular dashboards and reports for stakeholders
- Develop custom reports and queries for service operations
- Provide actionable insights based on service data analysis
- Support root cause analysis and problem resolution
- Collaborate with operational teams to reduce recurring incidents
- Ensure proper documentation and closure of incidents/problems
- Liaise with the business and leadership to understand service requirements
- Communicate service performance and improvement plans
- Act as a point of contact for service data-related queries
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery
- Support initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and efficiency
- Contribute to service improvement plans and strategic initiatives
- Support automation and digital transformation efforts
- Promote knowledge sharing and maintain service documentation
- Support onboarding and training of service teams
About You
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret data and present insights clearly
Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in a service delivery or support environment
- Data Analysis certification (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) – desirable
