The Opportunity
The Business Systems Analyst III acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping deliver new and enhanced products, services, and processes on time and within budget.
Day in the Life
- Create, refine, and manage user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria
- Maintain and prioritize product backlogs with the Product Owner
- Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Mentor team members on Agile best practices
- Translate API and technical concepts for business stakeholders
- Perform business process documentation and system analysis
- Conduct data mapping, modeling, and flow diagram creation
- Write complex SQL queries and support data-driven projects
- Lead UAT planning and execution
- Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5–8 years of Business Analysis experience (financial/card payments required)
- 5+ years of complex SQL querying
- Strong knowledge of API technologies and data flows
- Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies (certifications preferred)
- Experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA (plus)
- Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, .NET, Java, and web applications
- Experience with debit/credit card processing systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
