Overview
Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our award-winning team in Birmingham. You will support residents with exceptional personal care while helping to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and respect.
- Identify and escalate clinical risks, including weight loss, pressure sores, falls risk, and signs of infection.
- Interact courteously with residents, families, and visitors.
- Follow safe working practices and contribute positively to the care team.
About You
No previous experience is required—full induction and training will be provided.
You should be able to:
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate initiative and respect in all interactions.
- Follow instructions and work efficiently within a team.
- Be adaptable and flexible to manage varied responsibilities at short notice.
