Your Role
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care.
- Support individuals’ rights, choices, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Help people make informed decisions and reduce potential risks.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and respect for all identities.
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents and families.
- Support personal care, safe moving techniques, monitoring and reporting.
- Contribute to meaningful and recreational activities.
- Uphold personhood, spirituality, and individual preferences.
Accountability
- Follow Health & Social Care Standards (2017) and SSSC Codes of Practice.
- Adhere to Enhance Healthcare policies.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records.
- Be responsible, reliable, honest, and trustworthy.
Communication
- Communicate clearly, respectfully, and honestly.
- Support residents’ preferred communication methods.
- Participate in team meetings and share insights.
- Promote relationship-centred care.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Understand each person’s priorities, history, and values.
- Work closely with families and colleagues.
- Maintain strong teamwork and shared responsibility.
Supervision & Development
- Participate in supervisions and annual appraisals.
- Complete mandatory e-learning and recommended training.
- Undertake required SVQ qualifications.
Confidentiality
- Respect all personal data under GDPR.
- Seek consent before sharing information or capturing photos/videos.
Recognising Abuse
- Ensure residents are safe from harm or neglect.
- Report concerns immediately to senior staff.
- Support feedback, concerns, or complaints appropriately.
Health, Safety & Infection Control
- Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free environment.
- Report risks promptly.
- Ensure resident rooms and communal areas remain clean and uncluttered.
