We are looking for compassionate and reliable Care Support Workers to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Overview

As a Care Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide personalised support to service users in line with their care plans.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, medication, and household tasks.
  • Promote independence, engagement, and wellbeing for all residents.
  • Work flexible shifts including 12-hour day shifts (8am–8pm), sleeping nights, or waking nights (8pm–8am).

This role is suitable for individuals who are caring, friendly, and professional, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting equality.

Responsibilities

Support & Care:

  • Assist service users with bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Support medication administration and follow risk assessments.
  • Help with meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks.
  • Manage health appointments and accompany service users as needed.

Professional Duties:

  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and communication records.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings, reviews, and training sessions.
  • Undertake key-working responsibilities for assigned individuals.
  • Support newly recruited staff and act as a positive role model.

Engagement & Activities:

  • Encourage participation in on-site and off-site activities.
  • Document activities thoroughly and ensure they are meaningful and safe.

Health, Safety & Safeguarding:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment.
  • Promote safeguarding and report any incidents immediately.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to protect service users and staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year experience in home care or supported living.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Driving licence required.
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
  • Strong communication, reliability, and professional boundaries.
  • Positive, caring, and compassionate nature.
