Gloucestershire County Council is seeking Children’s Social Workers and Senior Social Workers to join teams across its six localities. This is a great opportunity for experienced professionals who are passionate about supporting children, protecting families, and improving outcomes for young people.
You will work closely with colleagues and partner agencies to provide high-quality services to children and families across Gloucestershire.
Important:
Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to drive. A relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available (terms and conditions apply).
Skilled Worker Applications
Applications will be considered from Skilled Workers already living and working in the UK who:
- Are registered with Social Work England (SWE)
- Are seeking to transfer their Certificate of Sponsorship
- Have at least 2 years’ UK experience in statutory children’s services
- Are willing to relocate to Gloucestershire

Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Completion of ASYE (Assessed and Supported Year in Employment)
- Experience as a frontline Social Worker (Senior level desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the county
- Enhanced DBS clearance covering Adults and Children
