Description
The University of Bath is seeking a reliable and proactive Cleaner Porter to join its friendly Campus Services – Cleaning and Portering team. This role offers a varied workload and plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment.
Working Hours
- Typical hours: 5:00am – 9:00am
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend working on alternate weeks
- Variable shift pattern, working 5 days out of 7
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within designated areas
- Emptying general waste and recycling bins
- Assisting with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries
- Supporting room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities
- Responding to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams
- Ensuring safe handling and storage of materials and supplies
- Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable presence for students, staff, and visitors
Please note: This role involves regular lifting and carrying. Uniform, footwear, and personal protective equipment are provided and must be worn.
