Job description
We are seeking a Parkinson’s Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our expert team in Pembrokeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse with experience in Parkinson’s disease to deliver patient-centred care, shape service development, and work across multidisciplinary teams. As a Band 7 CNS, you’ll be a key point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals, offering clinical expertise, leadership, and support across primary and secondary care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver advanced, evidence-based care to individuals with Parkinson’s and related conditions. Provide clinical leadership, education, and specialist support across the care continuum. Lead service development and drive quality improvement initiatives. Manage a caseload and work autonomously. Train and mentor staff across care settings. Collaborate with teams across the Health Board to ensure seamless care pathways.
Essential Criteria
Registered Nurse (NMC – Part 1). Master’s Degree or equivalent clinical experience. Expert knowledge in Parkinson’s disease or neurology. Experience in multi-disciplinary working, clinical audits, and complex decision making. Strong communication skills, particularly in emotionally sensitive situations.
Desirable Criteria
Advanced clinical skills and non-medical prescribing (V300). Teaching or management qualifications. Experience in research and people management. Welsh language skills (Level 1 or above).
