Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Community District Nurses (Band 5) to join the Staff Bank supporting Surrey Downs Health and Care.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care within community settings across Surrey Downs. You will work independently and alongside senior team members, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery.

- ICP PCN
- Cobham & Oxshott
- Leatherhead

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic care programmes
- Deliver complex clinical procedures including:
- Leg compression bandaging
- IV medication administration
- Catheterisation (male & female)
- PEG care (advanced management, feeds & medication)
- Venepuncture
- Insulin administration
- IM injections
- Complex wound management
- End-of-life and palliative care (including syringe driver management)
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records
- Support and mentor junior staff and students
- Promote health and wellbeing for patients and carers
- Deputise for senior team members when required
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience
- Valid NMC professional registration
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
