Overview
MUSAY is seeking a highly detail-oriented Content Editor to maintain and update cultural events and venue listings within our Sanity.io CMS. This is an operational role, not a marketing position.
What users and clients see is the content you publish—making you critical to maintaining visual polish, consistency, and brand trust.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured workflows, clean data, and precision-focused work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update event and venue entries in the CMS with next-business-day turnaround
- Ensure accuracy of dates, times, descriptions, and metadata
- Edit images for quality (cropping, resizing, light adjustments)
- Maintain image consistency across platforms
- Perform additional venue and event content updates as needed
- Double-check work to ensure accuracy and presentation quality
- Proactively identify and document recurring issues
- Suggest process improvements when beneficial
You Are Not Responsible For
- Marketing or social media
- Creative strategy or brand development
- Selecting content for the app unless directed
Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proven accuracy in content entry
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Basic image-editing skills (Canva, Adobe, Pixlr, Figma, etc.)
- Clear and proactive communication
- Comfort with checklist-driven, structured work
- Pride in delivering accurate, timely results
Bonus: Interest in arts, science, culture, and helping people discover real-world experiences such as museums, zoos, performing arts centers, science centers, and aquariums.
Time Commitment & Compensation
- $400 monthly retainer
- Covers up to 100 events per month
- 5–10 hours per week, based on volume
- 24-business-hour turnaround per event
- Event notifications via CMS & Slack
- Monthly invoicing
Additional Events:
- Every additional 50 events: +$200
- Fewer than 50 events paid proportionally
- Example: 25 extra events = +$125
