Special Agent – Cybersecurity / Technology Expertise
Location: Jacksonville, Florida, USA (Field-based / On the road)

Salary: $100,456 – $129,609 per year (commensurate with base, locality, and availability pay)
Overview
Use your cybersecurity and technology background to serve as an FBI Special Agent and help protect the United States from cyberattacks, terrorism, fraud, and emerging national security threats. This role combines advanced investigative training with real-world cyber operations and leadership development.
This position is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze.
Major Duties
- Plan and conduct investigations involving federal law violations, cybersecurity threats, and public safety
- Analyze digital evidence and uncover critical intelligence
- Exercise judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness in complex investigations
- Collaborate with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies
- Maintain required physical fitness standards for law enforcement readiness
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret / SCI security clearance
- Willingness to travel as required
- Must meet all FBI employment eligibility requirements
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited institution
- Preferred fields include Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines
