About the Role
The Partnerships Lead will provide strategic direction in stakeholder and supplier engagement, working across government, industry, and academia. This role is essential for cultivating and maintaining relationships critical to the future success of the Counter Terrorism (CT) Research Laboratory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with CTP stakeholders to identify research and innovation needs.
- Ensuring activities align with existing and future policing initiatives.
- Commissioning research activities with industry and academia.
- Developing a map of emerging research and innovation capabilities.
- Building robust communication and collaboration pathways with key players.
This position fills a crucial gap in Counter Terrorism Policing, driving innovation through targeted and blue-sky research to meet operational requirements. The Partnerships Lead will help establish a research and innovation portfolio, translating stakeholder needs into R&D objectives.
Key Tasks
The post holder will be required to:
- Co-create and implement an outreach and partnerships strategy.
- Evaluate and strengthen national and international academic partnerships.
- Collaborate with CTRL Heads and staff on research project delivery.
- Coordinate CTP science and technology activities with UK intelligence and policing.
- Build international relationships for science and technology collaboration.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of outreach and engagement activities.
- Support the research-to-innovation strategy within Counter Terrorism.
