Overview
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our IT team in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent role (33.75 hours per week, Monday–Friday). Hybrid working is supported once sufficient experience in the role is gained.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and validate data from practice management systems while ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and KPIs using SSMS, SSRS, Power BI, and Aderant Development Tools.
- Provide insights from financial, operational, and client data to support decision-making, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Communicate technical data findings in clear, actionable language.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, SRA regulations, and internal policies.
- Support data governance, audits, and data quality initiatives.
Person Specification
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or BI Analyst (professional services background desirable).
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel (Power Query, pivot tables), and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain data clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Team player with discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive client/financial data.
