Join a purpose-driven team at the FCA, where consumer voices shape safer financial markets. Our Consumer Intelligence & Analytics (CI&A) team analyses social media, review platforms, and advice services to understand consumer experiences, highlight emerging risks and support regulatory decisions.

We’re looking for a collaborative Data Analyst to enhance our social media monitoring, develop intuitive dashboards and contribute to inclusive consumer insights.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage and support our social media listening tool to capture and interpret consumer posts and reviews
  • Analyse data from multiple consumer sources to identify themes, risks and early warning signals
  • Design and maintain Tableau dashboards with clear, actionable insights
  • Prepare, transform and combine datasets using Tableau, Python and SQL
  • Engage with FCA teams to deliver relevant consumer intelligence
  • Share and improve CI&A’s use of data tools and methods

Skills & Requirements

Minimum:

  • Experience working with quantitative/qualitative data to create clear insights
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (ideally Tableau)
  • Strong written and presentation skills

Essential:

  • Understanding of data limitations and careful interpretation
  • Experience with social media listening platforms
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Organised, reliable, with delivery tools experience (e.g. JIRA)
  • Interest in consumer behaviour, risks, and trends
