Data Analyst – Thames Water
Location: Hybrid (Swindon – Walnut Court, SN2 8BN)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week)
Salary: £48,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)

Overview
Thames Water is recruiting a Data Analyst to join our Credit Risk Analytics team. This is a fantastic opportunity to use data to drive smarter decisions, strengthen credit risk strategies, and support revenue management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop credit and portfolio MI to support strategic changes
- Monitor and report on key portfolio data, analysing trends and variances
- Provide insights to support the Bad Debt Transformation programme
- Support the move to a data lake, building SQL-driven reporting tools
- Work with stakeholders to embed data-driven decision-making
- Act as a subject matter expert in credit risk and collections
Swindon-based – one office day every Tuesday.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a data analytics role
- Strong SQL and Excel skills with proven reporting expertise
- Power BI experience and knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of credit risk, utilities, or financial services (advantageous)
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a data-focused subject
- Python or R experience is a plus
