Location: Bishops Cleeve / Cheltenham (Hybrid)
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum

Overview
Marley Risk Consultants Ltd is experiencing significant growth and is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support data-driven decision making across the business. The postholder will analyse, interpret and report on management information to identify trends, provide insight and support senior management in strategic decision-making.
Key Activities
- Produce and analyse large monthly datasets for multiple clients, creating tailored reporting.
- Drive data-led decision-making and support the organisation’s wider data strategy.
- Complete complex ad hoc data analysis for clients.
- Present findings and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Support Underwriting and Claims Handling teams with data insights.
- Contribute to improving claims handling, underwriting processes and operational efficiencies.
- Identify and resolve data issues proactively.
- Participate in team discussions, promoting learning and delivering projects.
- Undertake additional tasks as required by Senior Management.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in data analysis within the insurance industry (underwriting or statistical focus preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent numerical and analytical capability; able to interpret and report on complex datasets.
- Strong ability to visualise and trend large datasets to build evidence-based insights.
- Proficient in Power BI (dashboards, data transformation, visual design).
- Advanced Excel skills (lookups, index match, pivot tables, visualisations).
- Knowledge of data science or predictive modelling techniques (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working as part of a data team is preferred.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively.
- Degree, diploma or apprenticeship in a numerical subject (Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science preferred).
- GCSE English Language grade 5/C or equivalent.
