Survey Coordinator & Data Analyst – London (£32K–£41K)

Overview

This role enhances project efficiency and data quality by centralising survey planning, data management, and contractor coordination. You will support expert modellers by managing survey workflows, ensuring consistent high-quality data, and contributing to technical excellence across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Survey Planning & Coordination

  • Organise and coordinate wastewater surveys, including flow, manhole, CCTV, infiltration, ancillaries, and pumping stations.
  • Manage survey schedules across multiple concurrent projects.

Contractor Liaison

  • Act as the primary contact for survey contractors.
  • Define project specifications, timelines, and deliverables.

Data Quality Assurance

  • Oversee data collection and conduct routine QA/QC checks.
  • Ensure all survey datasets meet quality requirements.

Data Management & Analysis

  • Clean, manage, and analyse survey data.
  • Prepare datasets for seamless use by modelling teams.

Process Improvement & Standardisation

  • Develop and maintain SOPs for survey planning and data workflows.
  • Support continuous improvement within the team.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure survey activities comply with Arcadis and client H&S standards.
  • Complete required risk assessments and incident reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Experience coordinating or delivering field surveys (water, wastewater, or environmental).
  • Strong analytical and data management skills with large datasets.
  • Experience managing contractors and project deliverables.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety requirements for fieldwork.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

Desirable

  • Experience in wastewater modelling or environmental data-led projects.
  • Knowledge of GIS or survey data platforms.
  • Experience within consultancy or water-company environments.
