South River Federal Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Data Cataloging Analyst to support enterprise data governance and catalog development efforts. This role focuses on capturing, documenting, and validating metadata to build a comprehensive enterprise data inventory and catalog.
You’ll collaborate closely with system owners, data stewards, and subject matter experts to ensure metadata accuracy, governance alignment, and enterprise-wide data visibility.
This is a highly analytical, documentation-focused role ideal for professionals passionate about data governance, metadata management, and enterprise data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured discovery interviews with system stakeholders
- Document and populate metadata repositories
- Validate metadata completeness and accuracy
- Track stewardship confirmations and governance approvals
- Review automation outputs and align with SME input
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate clarification
- Support catalog usability testing and adoption initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in analytics, data management, or consulting
- Strong documentation and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and operational stakeholders
Preferred:
- Experience with metadata management tools
- Experience supporting federal or healthcare data environments
