Job Description

We’re seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our domain-aligned Scrum teams, working closely with Data Product Owners to deliver high-quality, business-aligned data products. By blending technical expertise with your knowledge of the insurance industry, you’ll ensure our Data Products provide measurable value through trusted, accessible, and well-structured data solutions.

At AXA, we work smart—empowering our people to balance time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers. You’ll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days (60%) in the future. This may include attendance at AXA offices, client visits, or industry events. Flexible working arrangements are also available.

Role

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise data requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions.
  • Translate requirements into source-to-target data mappings.
  • Support design and development of data products using modelling principles.
  • Use SQL and Python for data analysis and validation.
  • Produce high-quality user stories with testable acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with governance principles.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies and backlog refinement.

Experience

  • Insurance industry experience and knowledge of terminology/regulations.
  • Ability to document requirements for both technical & non-technical audiences.
  • Strong skills in data mapping and data modelling.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of data governance and quality management.
  • Experience writing user stories in agile environments.
  • Strong data profiling and monitoring expertise.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
