Data Analyst Lead – Bradford (£43K–£56K)
Join our team in Bradford as a Data Analyst Lead in a permanent hybrid role, working onsite at least two days per week. In this position, you will lead the reporting, analytics, and data insights strategy for People Services within our HR & Payroll Shared Service Centre.
You will define, deliver, and continuously improve this strategy to drive service performance, enhance customer experience, support commercial growth, and guide operational decision-making. Acting as the connector between business needs, operational teams, and performance data, you’ll turn insights into meaningful actions.
A major part of your role will involve leading automation initiatives—advancing self-service reporting, streamlining analysis, and improving productivity through workflow optimisation and process efficiency.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, build meaningful narratives, and provide clear recommendations. You will work across multiple systems and data sources, adapting as our data environment evolves.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design and maintain performance and customer reports across HR, Payroll, and Shared Services.
- Produce accurate reporting packs for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Standardise reporting aligned with KPIs, SLAs, and commercial objectives.
- Convert data into actionable insights that guide decisions and operational improvements.
- Build dashboards and visualisations to track performance and forecast trends.
- Support capacity planning and demand forecasting with reliable data.
- Automate reporting tasks and introduce workflow tools to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and People Systems teams to meet reporting needs.
- Provide data commentary for internal and client performance reviews (MBR/QBR).
Who We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Proven experience in reporting, data analysis, and delivering actionable insights.
- Experience improving reporting workflows and applying light automation.
- Background supporting performance reviews, dashboards, and operational reporting.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with HR/Payroll Shared Services data.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, VBA, or similar tools.
- Experience with workflow or low-code automation tools.
- Exposure to HRIS such as Workday, Oracle, or SuccessFactors.
- Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or Design Thinking.
