Job Description
Magentic is looking for brilliant Data Engineers to join our team. We’re pushing the boundaries of AI with next-generation agentic systems that can manage entire workflows, focusing on global supply chains and procurement.
As a Data Engineer at Magentic, you will design, build, and maintain the scalable data infrastructure that powers our intelligent systems—transforming raw supply chain data into structured, reliable, and actionable insights.
This role is an opportunity to work on deeply technical challenges with real-world impact at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and operate scalable ingestion pipelines for high-volume global supply chain data.
- Define, evolve, and manage data schemas and catalogues.
- Build end-to-end monitoring and observability for pipelines (data quality, latency, completeness, lineage).
- Champion secure, governed data practices (GDPR compliance, encryption, RBAC/ABAC).
- Collaborate with AI, Platform, and Product teams to provision datasets and features for analytics/ML.
- Continuously improve efficiency through testing, CI/CD, automation, and performance tuning.
Requirements
You may be a fit if you have:
- 3+ years in cloud-native data engineering (AWS or Azure).
- Advanced programming skills in Python or similar.
- Experience with modern data pipelines (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, Prefect, Dagster).
- Strong data modeling & schema management (OLAP/OLTP, CDC, star/snowflake).
- API & integration expertise (REST, gRPC, Kafka, SaaS ingestion).
- Solid database/storage knowledge (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Parquet, warehouses).
- Observability & data quality tools (Great Expectations, Monte Carlo).
- Strong security and governance knowledge (GDPR, CCPA).
- Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, and automation.
- Collaborative spirit in mission-driven teams.
Compensation & Benefits
