Data Entry Clerk – NHS AfC: Band 2

Contract: Permanent, Part-time (30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, flexible across 4 or 5 days)
Salary: £24,465 per annum (pro rata)

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Entry Clerk to join the Patient Experience Team at NCIC. This role involves entering patient feedback data, managing compliments, and supporting the team with general administrative duties.

Main Duties

  • Accurate data entry into the patient experience tool
  • Record compliments via Microsoft Excel
  • Open and distribute incoming mail
  • Prepare posters using IQVIA data (printing and laminating)
  • Maintain the team’s email inbox
  • Monitor free text comments and national feedback websites
  • Provide patient feedback reports in PDF format when requested
  • Post leaflets, questionnaires, and surveys to patients/services
  • Collect and manage patient feedback surveys from wards and outpatient areas
  • File documents in line with Trust policy
  • Take meeting notes and support ad-hoc admin tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and safe handling of information

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths OR relevant work experience
  • Previous file management and office administration experience
  • Strong organisational and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to handle confidential data accurately
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and develop
