Job Description

We are recruiting for an Data Quality Assurance Analyst with operational data governance experience.

Reporting to the Data Quality Assurance Manager In this role you will be will be acting as an SME in developing quality assurance solutions, working within our Azure data platform to design and implement processes that will identify gaps in organisational data quality, You will be responsible for implementing the QA (Quality Assurance) framework, conducting documentation checks, designing test plans, and executing data quality audits.

Role

  • Contribute to data quality endeavours, ensuring that data sources, warehouses, marts, and pipelines provide a consistently high level of accuracy and reliability.
  • Play a key role in the implementation of a Data Governance Framework across the whole organisation.
  • Function as an expert on technical matters, including the complex data sets available to the organisation.
  • Play a key role in the evolution of our data landscape as we develop our Azure data platform.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the way the business works, supporting both the governance and DQ (Data Quality) workstreams.
  • Document processes and procedures developed to support both the Governance and Data Quality work streams.
  • Production and monitoring, the creation of test processes, regression testing and implementation of standard procedures to ensure products meet desired specifications.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand their requirements, issues, and review outcomes of remediation work.

Qualification

  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline and/or work experience in technical engineering, computer science, business management or in similar discipline Practical experience of using ERD tools (e.g. Erwin) to map Data Flows and create a Data Catalogue
  • Prepared to study towards and gain a qualification in Data Management such as DAMA.
  • Practical work experience of coding, SQL and/or Python
  • The ability to support and help others to better understand data and data flows across the whole organisation, at all levels.
  • The ability to Identify the difference between a business process issue and a system process issue to resolve the underlying cause of data quality issues?
  • A self-motivated, analytic and logical worker.
