Salary: £39,805 – £53,500 (appointment dependent on experience)

Contract Duration: Fixed Term – 3 years
Hours: 35 hours per week (Full Time)

Job Details
Under the guidance of Professor Trevor Graham, the Institute of Cancer Research is seeking to recruit a Data Scientist to support data science research across the ICR.
The role will involve analysis of spatial data, including multiplex immunohistochemistry, H&E images, and spatial transcriptomics. The successful candidate will stay up to date with developments in the field and provide training and support to colleagues.
About You
The successful candidate must have:
- A PhD in a quantitative subject, or be close to completion
(Equivalent research experience at PhD level will be considered) - An undergraduate degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent in a quantitative subject
- Strong bioinformatics and computational coding skills
- Proficiency in R, Python, and other relevant scripting languages
- Experience using High Performance Computing (HPC) systems
- Experience in computational biology research methodologies relevant to the role

The Data Science Committee, chaired by Professor Trevor Graham, provides academic leadership for data science at the ICR.
