Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Data Validator to join our Emergency Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. You’ll play a crucial role in improving data quality on Symphony and other key patient systems.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Validate data related to patient attendances on Symphony, including:
- 4-hour breaches
- Exception reports
- 12-hour DTA reports
- Weekly and monthly performance reports
- Interpret and apply judgments on complex patient pathways
- Ensure compliance with national guidance and reporting frameworks
- Collaborate closely with the divisional clinical admin team and Data Quality Team

Qualifications:
- 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above, or equivalent
Desirable:
- ECDL
Essential Experience:
- NHS experience in patient administration
- Understanding of NHS access standards
- Intermediate use of PAS (Outpatient, Inpatient, Waiting List modules)
- Data analysis and validation experience
- Understanding of patient confidentiality
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of UEC Access Standards
- Experience in Information Management or Medical Records
- Familiarity with medical terminology
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong data analysis and logical thinking skills
- Self-auditing capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
