Overview
A leading engineering company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with valve or pneumatic system experience to join their team in Camberley. The company designs critical life support systems used by First Responders and 5th Generation Fighter Jets.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from design through manufacturing and assembly, while developing expertise with advanced design tools such as Creo (training provided).
The company is also open to providing visa sponsorship for suitable international candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design specialised breathing apparatus and life support equipment used in hazardous environments and fighter jets.
- Use 3D CAD software (Creo) to create engineering designs.
- Manage projects across the full lifecycle: design, manufacturing, and assembly.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimise designs using DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) principles.
Requirements
- Mechanical Design Engineer background.
- Experience working with pneumatic valves, compressors, or similar mechanical systems.
- Strong experience with 3D CAD design.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and product development processes.
- Interest in aerospace, defence, or advanced engineering systems.
