About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will bridge the gap between development, testing, infrastructure, operations and system administration to ensure efficient, continuous and high-quality software delivery.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team, applying a mix of technical expertise and collaboration skills to deliver value quickly and continuously.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Skills
- Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD)
- Orchestration of containerised environments
- Workload automation
- Cloud management (Public/Private)
- Configuration management
Human Skills
- Strong problem-solving across infrastructure, networking, code and databases
- Effective collaboration within multi-skilled teams
- Knowledge sharing across teams and organisation
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies
Technical Skills
- Cloud platforms (at least one Public or Private)
- Operating systems (configuration & hardening)
- Programming/scripting for automation
- Containerisation & orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Databases deployment & troubleshooting
- Understanding of legacy infrastructures
Enabling Skills
- IT operations & monitoring
- Security by design and continuous assurance
- Application development understanding
- Architecture design and documentation
Process & Frameworks
- Agile methodology & Scrum
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
Security Clearance
Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain eDV security clearance. This usually requires 5–10 years of continuous UK residency.
