Reporting to the Infrastructure Services Team Manager, you will design, automate, and support secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure that underpins flexible learning, research, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver hybrid cloud and on-premises solutions using Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, Rubrik, Linux, Juniper, and Fortinet.
- Automate deployments and streamline operations through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices.
- Support and optimise live, development, and test environments ensuring availability, security, and performance.
- Provide third-line support, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Champion best practices in compliance (GDPR, Cyber Essentials) and modern service management.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota for critical services.
Note: You will be required to work on-site at least three days per week.

You’re a proactive, collaborative DevOps professional with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Solid hands-on experience with Azure, Nutanix, Linux, and Rubrik in complex infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, software development lifecycles, and service management.
- Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset.
- Desire to learn and contribute to a culture of improvement and innovation.
