Job Description
The University of Reading, ranked in the top 30 UK universities, is seeking a highly organised and self-motivated Digital Humanities Officer to contribute to the continued development of its Digital Humanities Hub based within the Library.
As part of the Research Engagement Division, this role is central to supporting researchers with training, digital tools, and project development in the fast-evolving landscape of digital scholarship.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with academics and professional services to advance digital humanities research
- Design and deliver training programmes and toolkits
- Support research funding bids and project execution
- Strengthen the Library’s role in digital research and innovation
Candidate Requirements
- A good first degree (preferably in Arts and Humanities)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working in Digital Humanities or a similar digital-academic hybrid role
- Proven project management ability, ideally in an academic setting
- Awareness of current trends and discussions in Digital Humanities in higher education
