Job Description
Premier IT, a leading FinTech company with over a decade of success across multiple countries, is seeking a Director of Backend Development. The company has ambitious plans to build brand new Tech, Data, and Delivery teams in 2025.
As Director, you’ll head up a global backend team of 200+ engineers, leading the development of cutting-edge platforms and applications using Python, Golang, or Java. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape backend strategy and execution.
This role is fully remote, but relocation support of up to $10,000 is available if you prefer to work from one of their European offices.
Responsibilities
- Lead backend teams of 100+ engineers.
- Oversee backend architecture, systems, and application development.
- Collaborate with international FinTech partners and cross-functional teams.
- Drive best practices, technical excellence, and scalable backend solutions.
- Bridge communication across teams using English & Russian.
Requirements
- 10+ years backend development experience.
- 5+ years in technical and people leadership.
- Strong skills in Python OR Golang OR Java, Linux, AWS, Rest APIs.
- (Bonus) Experience with Kubernetes, Node, Gitlab, SQL, DevOps.
- Proven success leading large-scale backend projects.
- Fluent in Russian & English.
Salary & Benefits
- $130,000 – $160,000
