Summary
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals in their homes and in supported living environments. You will ensure clients receive the highest level of care, comfort, and dignity while helping them maintain independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients with dignity and professionalism.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, mobility support, and medication administration.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or wellbeing.
- Support individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and cognitive impairments using appropriate care approaches.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and client progress.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance caregiving skills.
- Comply with all health and safety standards while delivering care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living or domiciliary care preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, especially for seniors and individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s.
- First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
- Ability to work independently and within a care team.
- Flexibility to respond to changing client needs.
- A valid driving licence is an advantage but not essential.
