Overview
Join KeolisAmey Metrolink (KAM), the UK’s largest light rail network! We’re seeking an Engineering Stores Assistant to support the efficient operation of our stores and inventory processes. You’ll play a vital role in receiving, storing, and issuing goods, maintaining stock records, and ensuring materials are available for our Engineering and Infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check and manage incoming deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Store and organise items; maintain accurate stock records.
- Conduct stock checks, support stocktakes, and manage inventory issues.
- Prepare and issue materials to internal departments and for shipping.
- Maintain store safety, cleanliness, and follow health & safety procedures.
- Update inventory records and support operational efficiency with procurement and other teams.
Requirements:
- Experience in a stores/supply environment, ideally within engineering, transport, or maintenance.
- Knowledge of stock management, supply chain principles, and safety culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Full UK driving licence; forklift training provided.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
