Location Requirement
This position is only open to candidates residing in the following areas:
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Kentucky (must live within 30 miles of Campbellsville or Louisville)
- South Carolina (must live within 30 miles of Aiken)
- Georgia (must live within 30 miles of Augusta)
Work Schedule
Candidates must be available to work either schedule (Monday–Friday):
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
- 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST
Position Summary
The Patient Account Representative supports 1st Party healthcare clients by communicating with patients via phone to manage and collect on patient accounts. This role ensures timely payments, minimizes bad debt, maintains accurate database records, and delivers outstanding customer service through effective communication.
Primary Responsibilities
- Treat all consumers with dignity and respect
- Persuade consumers to pay or establish payment arrangements
- Use scripted call openings when the right party is reached
- Negotiate payment terms by reviewing account details and addressing objections
- Accurately document call outcomes, notes, and account updates
- Handle inbound and outbound calls using company systems
- Perform verbal skip tracing when non-right party contacts are reached
- Maintain detailed, chronological account notes
- Navigate multiple systems while prioritizing tasks effectively
- Comply with HIPAA, PCI, and all regulatory and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Clear verbal communication and professional phone etiquette
- Prior PC and keyboard skills (required)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills

- Business writing skills (emails, letters, documentation)

Physical Demands
- Primarily seated work using phone and computer equipment
