Salary: £8.00 per hour (Apprenticeship Wage – first 12 months). If aged 19+ your pay will increase to National Minimum Wage for your age after 12 months.

Overview
Cumberland Council is recruiting Finance Assistant Apprentices to join its busy Finance Team in Carlisle. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised Level 2 qualification.
You’ll learn how a real finance service operates day to day while supporting essential council services that make a difference to local communities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing invoices and payments
- Supporting budget monitoring and financial reporting
- Assisting council teams with financial queries
- Using finance systems and building strong digital skills
- Working closely with experienced colleagues who will support your development
