About the Role
Join UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) as a Financial Analyst within the International Directorate FBP team.
You will deliver insightful financial analysis and modelling to support decision-making across Horizon Europe programme activities, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Complete month-end processes, including accruals, recharges, and adjustments.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports, insights, and commentary for programme managers.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and Reporting Teams to enhance data accuracy.
- Build and maintain costing models for new activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications:
- Full or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA) desirable, or equivalent experience (QBE) with willingness to study.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Skilled in handling and analysing large and complex datasets.
- Understanding of public sector finance frameworks.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical, numerical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Able to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective collaborator with a proactive mindset.
